UVIGO recently participated in the “I Jornadas en Geotecnología” at the University of León, part of the PonfesT initiative. The event gathered professionals and students in the geotechnologies field.
UVIGO represented by Juan Carlos Navares Vázquez showcased how mixed reality and virtual reality can enhance geospatial data visualization, from laser scanner acquisition to point cloud processing, mesh generation, and immersive VR experiences.
The activity highlighted the potential of digital tools in geotechnologies and was featured in local media, including Diario de León one of the most influential newspaper.
