We’re proud to announce that SUM4Re has been highlighted in the updated Implementation Plan of the Implementation Working Group on Energy Efficiency in Buildings (IWG5).

IWG5, a key part of the EU’s Strategic Energy Technology (SET) Plan, focuses on driving innovation in energy-efficient building technologies. Its updated plan aligns with the European Green Deal, REPowerEU, and the revised Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD).

SUM4Re’s contributions to reducing waste and promoting circular construction practices were recognized as a vital part of this initiative. Our integrated approach—combining urban mining, automated in situ data acquisition technologies, and the creation of material banks—is helping to shape the future of sustainable urban renovation.

This recognition reinforces SUM4Re’s role in supporting the EU’s goals of cutting greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and achieving climate neutrality by 2050.

Stay tuned for more updates as IWG5 and SUM4Re work together to shape a greener future for Europe!
